This project focuses on creating a Steerable Aircraft Parachute System designed for the safe rescue of small aircraft and space capsules. The system utilizes an Autonomous Guiding Unit to steer the parachute to a safe landing zone, enhancing the chances of survival during emergencies.
The aim of the project is to design, produce and validate a demonstrator of a Steerable Aircraft Parachute System for rescue of small and medium size airplanes, such as Light Sport Aircrafts (LSA), weighting up to 500 kg, as well as for space capsules, and navigated within the frame of the Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS (e.g.
