PANTHER investigates the potential of titanium-aluminide materials to replace nickel-based alloys in low-pressure turbines. The project employs simulations and experiments to assess material performance under extreme conditions, aiming to enhance turbine design.
The work presented in this proposal will help the topic leader to evaluate the ability of an innovating TiAl material to replace nickel-based super-alloys for low-pressure turbine application.
