The PACE project analyzes populist movements in Europe, aiming to understand their growth and impact on democracy. It seeks to develop strategies for civic engagement and countering negative populist trends through citizen involvement and innovative political tools.
Across Europe there is a rise of political movements that claim to challenge liberal elites and speak for the 'ordinary person' - movements that can be loosely categorised as 'populist'.
Many of these movements have undesirable tendencies.
