This project explores the potential of stem cells to replace pancreatic beta-cells for treating Type 1 diabetes. It focuses on the isolation and differentiation of human amniotic fluid stem cells into insulin-producing cells while addressing challenges like immunogenicity and tumor formation.
The use of stem cells for curing disease and ending disabilities may change the medical treatment in this century.
