This project investigates the effects of out-group conflict on social behavior across species, including fish and mongooses. It aims to uncover how such conflicts influence individual actions, group dynamics, and evolutionary traits through empirical and theoretical methods.
The aim of this project is to determine the proximate and ultimate consequences of a fundamental but neglected aspect of sociality: out-group conflict.
