This project aims to commercialize a prototype radar technology for horizontal directional drilling, enhancing safety and efficiency in urban utility installations. It builds on previous research to improve obstacle detection and minimize disruption during drilling operations.
Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) offers significant benefits for urban environments by minimising the disruption caused by street works.
