The MANAGED OUTCOMES project investigates how healthcare outcomes and costs are influenced by service efficiency and patient involvement in care. It aims to provide insights for policymakers to enhance healthcare systems based on citizen expectations for quality and accessibility.
The MANAGED OUTCOMES proposal explores the assumption that healthcare outcomes and costs are affected by the efficiency of service production, the time/location constrained regional structure of healthcare delivery, and the degree to which people are empowered to participate in the co-production of their care.
These relationships are insufficiently understood and need to be studied to meet the objectives of the new European health strategy.
