Oligodendrocytes (OLs) are the glia cells that produce myelin in the central nervous system (CNS).
Despite the severe outcome of demyelinating diseases, like multiple sclerosis (MS), little is known about the mechanisms by which myelin is disrupted or why remyelination fails in disease.
