The ODESSA project develops a low-cost sensor for aircraft to prevent collisions during flight and on the ground. Utilizing millimetric radar and automotive technology, it aims to enhance safety by detecting small obstacles, thereby improving ground handling and taxiing procedures for various aircraft types.
Mid-air, near mid-air, and-on ground collisions are one of the most important cause of accident in general aviation.
