The OCULIS project enhances the understanding of dark matter and dark energy by analyzing data from the Euclid satellite. It focuses on correcting biases, measuring galaxy properties, and improving models of structure formation, ultimately linking cosmology with galaxy evolution.
The current standard model of cosmology successfully describes a variety of measurements, but its main ingredients, dark matter and dark energy, are a great mystery. ESA’s Euclid satellite is the biggest step forward towards solving this fundamental problem in physics.
