This project examines the impact of health-related labels on food products and their influence on consumer choices towards healthier diets. It explores how these labels can be effective tools in combating obesity by considering various consumer characteristics and psychological factors.
The aim of this project is to investigate whether and how health-related claim labels in food products lead consumers to choose healthier food diet and therefore, nutritional and health labeling could be considered a valid tool to fight against obesity in Europe taken into account also consumers’ personal characteristics (socio-demographic, economic, nutritional and health status etc) and psychological and emotional factors.
