The GAP Simulator is a novel tool designed to enhance spinal surgery outcomes by providing personalized analysis and planning. It quantifies deviations in spinal alignment to prevent mechanical complications, aiming to improve patient safety and reduce the need for revision surgeries.
THE MOTIVATION & CHALLENGESMore than 1 out of 3 patients (>33%) have mechanical complications after spine surgery despite various efforts of calculation and planning.
