This project explores the potential of novel anaerobic microorganisms to recover valuable compounds from waste and non-food crops. By studying these microorganisms, the aim is to develop sustainable biotechnological processes that enhance resource recovery and contribute to a biobased economy.
Our current society depends on many natural resources, and the availability of these natural resources (minerals, fossil fuels) is becoming more and more limited.
