This project develops non-invasive imaging techniques to assess early treatment responses in cancer, particularly Hodgkin lymphoma. By utilizing advanced methods to detect metabolic changes in tumors, the goal is to improve patient outcomes by tailoring therapies based on individual responses.
Assessing treatment response in cancer is the most important single prognostic factor for a patient.
Therefore, it is crucial to detect response as early as possible during treatment.
Additionally, similar tumour types frequently have markedly different responses to the same therapy.
Hodgkin lymphoma, for example, is one of the tumour types where a small group of patients fail to respond or respond poorly to treatment.
