This project focuses on enhancing proton exchange membrane fuel cells by developing a hydrophobic carbon nanofiber layer as a catalyst support. It aims to improve platinum utilization and stability, thereby increasing fuel cell performance while reducing costs associated with platinum usage.
Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) in combination with hydrogen are considered one of the best candidates to help to mitigate the climate change.
However, there are still some challenges to release this technology to the market.
