This study explores early marriage practices within Roma communities, focusing on kinship networks and women's agency. By conducting participant observation in a Romanian community now in Milan and Paris, the research aims to understand the cultural and legal aspects surrounding early marriage.
The issue of early marriage in Roma communities has been politicized through a negative view of reified cultural practices.
