This project investigates the relationship between spontaneous brain activity and neurotransmitter function using advanced imaging techniques in awake mice. It aims to understand how arousal levels influence brain connectivity and dynamics, potentially enhancing our knowledge of brain function in health and disease.
Spontaneous brain activity as assessed with resting-state fMRI (rsfMRI) is increasingly used as an index of interregional braincommunication and functional connectivity in health and disease.
