This project aims to improve the treatment of epilepsy by integrating narrative approaches into medical practice. By analyzing cultural discourse and enhancing communication skills among neurologists, it seeks to foster better patient acceptance and participation in society, beyond just controlling seizures.
The medical management of epilepsy has enormously progressed since the introduction of specific anti-convulsants in the 1970s and surgical treatment for worst cases, but social and personal adjustment of patients remains problematic.
