The NANOSMART project focuses on developing a new drug delivery system using smart nanoparticles to enhance the effectiveness of cisplatin, a standard treatment for lung cancer. The project aims to validate this system through laboratory tests and optimize its application for better patient outcomes.
As a result of the research undertook in the MYCAP ERC project, Dr Martín del Valle’s team have developed a new smart nanoparticle for delivering cisplatin, which is the current lung cancer standard of care (SoC).
