The NanoplastSorption project investigates the behavior of nanoplastics in freshwater ecosystems. It develops carbon-based nanomaterials to enhance the detection and understanding of how these tiny plastic particles migrate from soil to water, potentially entering the food chain.
Human exposure to plastics is increasingly recognized as a global environmental threat, primarily due to the invisible and persistent accumulation of its residual content in freshwater sources.
