The project aims to enhance the imaging of nanocrystals in liquid environments using advanced Liquid Cell technology. By controlling the liquid thickness, real-time atomic resolution imaging will be possible, facilitating the study of chemical reactions and the development of new nanomaterials.
Great successes have been achieved in nanoscience where the development of functional properties and the assembly of nanostructures into nanomaterials have become increasingly important.
In general, both the tuning of the chemical and physical properties and the self-assembly of nanocrystals into 2D or 3D superstructures take place in a liquid environment.
