The N-Light project aims to develop advanced gamma-ray light sources using oriented crystals exposed to high-energy particle beams. This interdisciplinary effort combines theoretical and experimental work to create novel light sources with applications in basic science.
The N-Light project aims at providing the breakthrough theoretical and experimental advances for the virtual computational design and practical realisation of novel gamma-ray Light Sources (LS) operating at photon energies from ~100 keV up to GeV range that can be constructed through exposure of oriented crystals (linear, bent and periodically bent) to the beams of ultrarelativistic charged particles.
An interdisciplinary research programme will combine theory, computational modelling and design…
