This project investigates the role of mycorrhizal fungi in the diversification of orchids. It aims to understand the specificity of orchid-fungus associations and their impact on orchid establishment and evolution using advanced multiplex assays.
The Orchidaceae is the most diverse family of angiosperms with an estimated number of over 24,000 species.
