This project focuses on developing a novel synthesis method for MXenes, two-dimensional materials with promising applications in energy storage and electronics. By creating MXenes directly from molecular precursors, the project aims to improve safety, scalability, and versatility for industrial use.
MXenes are a rapidly growing family of two-dimensional carbides and nitrides with unique properties, including high electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, hydrophilicity, and tunable surface chemistry.
These features make them highly attractive for energy storage, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, catalysis, and flexible electronics.
