The muTWIN project aims to create a digital twin model for predicting the microstructure of metal parts produced through additive manufacturing. This innovative approach will enable faster design iterations and improved material properties, benefiting various industries including aerospace and medical applications.
Tailoring the microstructural features in metal additive manufacturing (AM) products is still a great challenge, limiting the design flexibility and full exploitation of the technique.
