This project explores cognitive control dysfunction in treatment-resistant psychosis. It aims to identify neural biomarkers that could personalize treatment strategies and improve outcomes for patients with schizophrenia.
Psychotic symptoms (hallucinations and delusions) have been associated with a striatal hyperdopaminergic state.Less explored, but also implicated are functional abnormalities in cognitive control, particularly in the prefrontal cortex; and
