MultiBioPro seeks to utilize genetic varieties of poplar and tobacco tree for developing new industrial products. The project focuses on enhancing wood fibers and fatty acids through genetic engineering and biorefining, aiming for sustainable feedstock solutions.
The overall strategic objective of MultiBioPro is to exploit natural resources from genetic varieties of two industry-utilized plant species, poplar and the tobacco tree Nicotiana glauca, for direct applicability to novel industrial end products.
