The MP-Filler project aims to develop a fully automated jar filling solution for fruit and vegetable processing companies. This technology minimizes human contact, reduces product loss, and increases filling speed, ultimately leading to significant operational cost savings.
Fruit and Vegetable Processing Companies process products that are varied in shape, size and ease to fill into a jar.
Therefore, companies use filling lines with human assists that handle the products by hand to press them into the jars- this is a necessary but unhygienic procedure.
Moreover, at least 20% of the product falls on the floor and there is an extended risk of jars breaking due to vibrations emitted by the vibrating plate on the filling machine.
