This project investigates how mechanical forces influence the development of different cell types in the C. elegans embryo. It aims to understand the mechanisms of mechanotransduction and their implications for medical applications, particularly in wound healing and cancer.
The importance of mechanical forces in biology is well accepted, yet an integrated view of their mode of action in vivo is lacking.
