This project focuses on developing a non-invasive blood test for early detection of colorectal cancer by identifying specific gene signatures in circulating monocytes. The goal is to create a reliable alternative to traditional screening methods, enhancing early diagnosis and improving patient outcomes.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer worldwide and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in Europe and USA.
Its incidence and difficult early-diagnosis make CRC a primary focus in the oncology community.
