MOMENTS aims to make Multi-Sensory Environments accessible at home for individuals with cognitive and sensory challenges. This project focuses on creating an affordable, intelligent system that provides tailored sensory experiences to enhance therapy and entertainment for users.
Multi-Sensory Environments (MSEs) is a discipline of occupational therapy that helps treat cognitive and sensory deficiencies (in memory, attention, social interaction…) of people with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, neuro-degenerative diseases and or brain-injuries.
These conditions which include autism, dementia, Down syndrome or multiple sclerosis affect over 15% of the population (1,1bn people worldwide).
