The MOLDYKITA project investigates the role of water dynamics in enzymatic catalysis, focusing on the interaction between a specific enzyme and collagen-like substrates. It employs molecular dynamics simulations and spectroscopy to understand how water influences enzyme activity.
With ever new emerging experimental techniques and advances in computer simulations, it could be shown that solvation dynamics plays a fundamental role in many processes that are essential to life on a molecular scale.
