MODEXTREME focuses on enhancing agricultural resilience to extreme climate events by improving biophysical models that simulate vegetation responses. The project aims to better predict crop yields and develop tools for monitoring agricultural productivity under varying climate conditions.
The continuous supply of services provided by agricultural systems is increasingly threatened by climate change in association with an estimated increase in the frequency of extreme weather events such as droughts, heat waves or heavy
