This research project aims to enhance the understanding of modality in natural language by analyzing modal determiners across languages like Catalan, Spanish, and English. It will utilize both corpus data and questionnaires to explore how these elements contribute to expressing possibilities and uncertainties.
Modal expressions allow us to talk about unrealized possibilities and uncertain scenarios.
