This project examines the relationship between governance innovations and political legitimacy across various governmental levels in Europe. It investigates how EU policies influence perceptions of legitimacy at national and regional levels, particularly in the context of the UK and Ireland.
Multi-level policy-making between EU, national and sub-national levels has become increasingly complex.
This has created the need for innovative governance solutions to address this complexity, which in turn has had an effect on political legitimacy.
