The MITrep project focuses on a minimally invasive device for treating mitral valve insufficiency, particularly in elderly patients. It aims to simplify the surgical process, reduce recovery time, and lower costs compared to traditional open-heart surgery.
Mitral valve insufficiency is a heart condition, where blood is abnormally leaking out of the mitral valve.
