This project develops a novel assay system using nanoscale DNA origami arrays for the detection and quantification of microRNAs in breast cancer. The approach aims to enhance the sensitivity and multiplexing capabilities of current detection methods, potentially improving early cancer diagnosis and monitoring.
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are potential biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, prognosis and treatment monitoring.
Specific detection and absolute quantification of miRNAs is of clinical relevance for early cancer detection and monitoring progression.
