This project investigates the development and organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender activism in Italy. It aims to understand the political dynamics and discourses surrounding LGBT movements from historical and contemporary perspectives.
Which sort of politics the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender activism (LGBT) promotes within the context of a country still highly homophobic?
Which sort of discourses, collective actions, strategies and dilemma are underlying the emergence and the organisation of LGBT movements within the Italian society’s historical configuration of democracy?
