This project focuses on developing advanced mid-infrared imaging technology for biomedical applications, particularly for early cancer diagnosis. It aims to create brighter light sources and improved detection methods to enhance automated pathology screening and non-invasive skin examinations.
In recent years it has become clear that mid-IR imaging spectroscopy has the potential to open a new chapter in bio-medical imaging and offers an effective tool for early cancer diagnosis and improved survival rates.
