This research project focuses on diagnosing disorders of consciousness using various non-invasive brain imaging techniques. It aims to understand the relationship between brain activity patterns and the severity of consciousness impairment, potentially improving diagnostic accuracy and patient prognosis.
The diagnosis of individuals with disorders of consciousness has fundamental implications in terms of prognosis, treatment, palliative care and even proper end-of-life decisions.
