This research focuses on the genetic and biochemical characterization of microbial membrane lipids, aiming to understand their evolutionary significance and diversity. It employs advanced analytical techniques to study lipids from various microbial cultures and environmental samples.
Tremendous progress has been made in the last decade in the genetic characterization of microorganisms, both in culture and in the environment.
