METAREPAIR investigates how high-fat diets influence prostate cancer aggressiveness by affecting DNA repair mechanisms. The project aims to understand the connection between nutritional metabolism and genomic instability, focusing on the role of epigenetic changes in DNA damage response.
Preclinical and epidemiological studies indicate that some dietary patterns, such as high-fat diet (HFD), are associated with increased risk for many cancers, including prostate cancer (PCa).
However, our mechanistic understanding of the link between diet and cancer remains limited.
