This project examines the impact of metal weaponry on prehistoric European societies, focusing on how metallurgy influenced combat practices and societal organization. It analyzes archaeological evidence to understand the relationship between metal production and military evolution.

The weapons of the hunter that could be used against man or beast were supplanted by those of the warrior – tools with a primary purpose of inflicting physical harm on other humans.
