This project investigates how different nutrients from food sources affect contest behaviors in parasitoid wasps. By analyzing the relationship between nutritional state and fighting ability, the research aims to enhance understanding of animal contests and their implications for biological pest control.
Animal contests are widely studied by animal behaviourists and behavioural ecologists and there is a well developed framework for evaluating their functional significance.
