MemoTV investigates how stressful experiences, particularly from violence, affect memory and mental health. The project aims to identify mechanisms that lead to lasting changes in brain function and to suggest methods for prevention and treatment.
MemoTV investigates the mechanisms through which stressful experiences shape memories in humans on epigenetic, neural and behavioural/cognitive levels.
We will explore how these memories interact with cultural settings in ways that result in malfunctioning and mental suffering.
