The project focuses on understanding how toxic proteins, specifically Amyloid-beta and Tau, contribute to memory loss in Alzheimer’s disease. It aims to identify the pathways of synaptic dysfunction and develop therapeutic targets to prevent cognitive decline.
MEMOSAD aims at defining the molecular mechanisms of Abeta- and Tau-induced synaptotoxicity and at developing disease-modifying therapeutics for the prevention of memory loss in Alzheimer disease (AD).
