Media & Citizenship explores how Arabic language television influences citizenship perceptions among Arabic speakers in Europe. The project collects data to understand media's role in integration and aims to provide policy recommendations regarding media regulation and community engagement.
Media & Citizenship studies the ways transnational media, in particular Arabic language television, reshape the political landscapes of citizenship (Area 8.5.1) in the European Union.
It provides the first European wide empirical research on the use of Arabic language television and its effect on integration in multicultural societies (Area 8.3.1).
