This project aims to create a novel experimental platform to study electron-phonon interactions using a hybrid quantum system. By coupling quantum dots to a carbon nanotube, it seeks to enable quantum simulations that could advance our understanding of strongly correlated materials.
Electron-phonon interactions lead to a plethora of phenomena in strongly correlated solid-state systems such as superconductivity and charge-density waves.
However, the complex dynamics manifesting these phases can be beyond the reach of computational modelling, especially when taking into account electron-electron interaction.
