The MAYA project aims to innovate the manufacturing of aircraft fuselage panels using thermoplastic materials. It combines traditional processes with additive manufacturing to reduce production time, weight, and costs while enhancing performance.
The demand for composite materials in aerospace is increasing, mainly due to their high strength to weight ratio which will lead to lighter structures and fuel saving.
