This project investigates the factors influencing biodiversity through the processes of speciation and extinction. By utilizing advanced statistical and computational methods, it aims to uncover patterns in diversification rates across various species and their correlation with environmental and intrinsic traits.
Biodiversity is modeled by the process of speciation and extinction.
There is clear evidence both from living and extinct species that biodiversity is extremely variable through time and among species.
